Hello! If you haven't already know this, I went to South Korea for vacation! I was only there for a week, but I think I manage to cram a lot of things in! I didn't visit any of the historical places because that will take another week. I went with Liz, whose motto is, admirably, One chance! She thinks that given the opportunity, we should go if we can because, what if that is the only chance?
The main theme for the vacation is shopping and K-Pop, and we mostly wander around in the 서울 [Seoul] area.
The first evening I was there, we stay at a nice hotel in 운서 [Unseo]. As there was supposed to be the three of us (including Adri), we had a room with three single beds. Liz and I took a bed and the third was taken up by our luggage bags. I didn't pack much, somehow I manage to fit 13kg in? Liz took 15kg. After settling in the room, we went out to explore! We noted the way to the subway station, wander around for a bit, got food for the evening as well as cutleries at Lotte Mart, T-money card (for the subway) and went back. Unfortunately Liz had a stomachache - probably because her stomach haven't adjust to the spicy food? Or was it because of plane food? Liz said she has never seen so much neon lights! I think if she goes to Tokyo she'll be dazzled. While eating we watch TV. Korean TV shows are weird, and the ads even weirder!

The next day we got up at 11AM, then after checking out we took the subway to 검암 [Geomam], where we will stay for the remainder of the trip. Our hostel owner is Jin, he is about 28 and rather good-looking! He's tall too and he claims he works out. As for why he told us that nobody knows. He thinks BIGBANG is tiny, like smurfs, and G-Dragon is very mouse-like, forever spoil our idols for us lol. He gave us both Korean names - Liz is 쓰지 (Su-ji) and I am 은해 (Eun-hae). I'm bad at remembering names so I kept asking Liz what mine was.
We met up with Fanny, who took us to see the infamous YG Building. I don't have a good photo of it so here is one stolen from somewher else:
Very impressive building! Unfortunately this photo is deceiving because it makes it look like it's situated in the middle of nowhere. That is not true! It is surrounded by many buildings. There is even a GS25 (convenience store) across the road. Nevertheless it is still the most unique building in the area.
This is how the front of a typical GS25 looks like, Liz and I regard them as best friends because they sell ramen, our dinner!
Fanny took us to 홍대앞 [Hongdae] (short for 홍익대학교 [Hongik University]) for lunch at SE7EN's chicken stew restaurant, 열봉찜닭 [Yeolbong Jjimdak]. When ordering the waitress warned us it will be hot, but what she doesn't know is we expect hot. We ordered a medium-sized chicken stew:
It was delicious and wasn't hot at all! I had the hard-boiled egg seen in the photo because for some reason both Fanny and Liz didn't want it. It was cheap too. Everything in South Korea is cheap, like seriously.
We went back to the YG Building again. While there Fanny received a tip-off from Korean Blackjacks. 2NE1 was coming back from Japan that day and the Korean Blackjacks told us to go to Gimpo Airport - their flight was landing at 10.20PM. After some discussion, we decide to try our luck, so we went to Gimpo Airport. The Korean Blackjacks were already there and they have DSLRs o.o We waited, then at about 10.45PM, 2NE1 emerge from the Arrivals!

I took a fancam but what I said in it was really embarassing, so I won't post it up here. I was really, really close to Park Bom and Minzy OMG. I notice a lot of people ignored Dara. CL was too quick for us so we didn't manage to see her much. Fanny got Bom's autograph.
Only the second day but we'd already met 2NE1! Wheee. After they left in their van, we thanked the Korean Blackjacks for the tip-off, then catch the subway back to 검암. We didn't sleep much that night because we were too excited!
