Just a quick notice first to let you guys know all posts related to K-pop will now be moved to The Lollidella ^^ So any posts to do with Rain and MBLAQ and YGE artists will now be posted there.
Sorry for the lack of proper updates, but I have been doing proper studying and catching up with school work so there's almost no time. I don't even update my Twitter properly anymore =(
I'm eating instant noodles right now because I missed the delicious Sunday brunch because my roommate decided to be mean and not wake me up. Why I can't wake up in the first place was partly her fault.
To be fair I feel more and more miserable sharing a room with her but I can't back out like I did last time because it's just not fair to her. I mean, a person has a certain level of tolerance and mine for her is just exhausted. I just have to tolerate the weeks before Easter holidays and not erupt on her before then. Sigh.
My mood right now is Look Only At Me, Part 2. Since I am also addicted to Lollipop 2 (more info here), so I might as well modify partner into part2er. Ha ha.
I gotta go now. More updates when I'm not so busy!

...back to 2002.
And see who this was!
Yes, that's me. Blessing my good memory, I can even tell I was reading an Enid Blyton book at that time, and the book in front of me is titled The House By The Sea. If I looked grumpy, that was probably for warding off any potential disturbers.

Can you tell which one was me?
I can hardly recognise myself, I don't know how my ex-classmates can recognise me after so long. And yes, bangs do bring out the worst in me I guess.
Maybe I should try getting bangs again.

After writing a flaming entry on my blog last year about my dearest countrymen's lack of concern about climate change, I decide there is no excuse for them this time because I will make sure they know about Earth Hour early, and really go about switching off the lights.
Here's everything you need to know about Earth Hour, so you can throw your ignorance excuse out the window RIGHT NOW. I insist, and I shall presist.
What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world. It is a call to stand up, to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future. People across the world from all walks of life will turn off their lights and join together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.
Who organised this?
Earth Hour is organized by WWF. With almost 5 million supporters and a global network in over 100 countries, it’s one of the world's largest and most respected independent conservation organizations. WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the Earth's natural environment and build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
Why should I listen to you and switch off my lights for an hour? Like I am that jobless!
Earth Hour isn't about how jobless you are. It is about how much you care about the planet you are living on. If you don't take care of it, one day it's bound to take care of you very well, and it's not going to be a pretty sight when it does.
Earth Hour is something you should definitely consider joining if you are:
2007, Sydney, Australia:
2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change.
2008:
More than 50 million people across 35 countries participated. Global landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, The CN Tower in Toronto, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome’s Colosseum; all stood in darkness.
March 2009:
Over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet.

So I know this post is going to frustrate a lot of people, but I can't help it and I don't care anyway. I'm going to come clean and tell you this: I LOVE YAOI MANGAS!
Did I hear Jeslyn cheer? Yay!
So the manga that got my love for yaoi back is Tenohira no Seiza or Constellations in My Palm. It's so beautiful it makes me cry! I don't care what other people thinks of gays OK, I absolutely APPROVE (with two big, fat, thumbs ups).
However, I do think lesbians are a bit...wrong. Maybe if the tables were turned, and I was born a guy instead, I will have love yuri manga to bits.
Not wanting to spoil the manga for you by being over starry-eyed, I present you with the (official) description from MangaFox:
Enji is moving on to college and it turns out he’ll be living with his cousin Mizuho, who he hasn’t seen in seven years. Enji, once the younger cousin that Mizuho thought of as a cute little brother, is now a tall, handsome man practically oozing with cool. And yet, despite how close they used to be, Enji’s giving him the cold shoulder. Has Enji simply grown out of being Mizuho’s surrogate younger brother, or is he trying to hide his true feelings?

I don't usually post up visits to whatever bla-bla-bla place, but this is special case to my special, special friends back in Brunei! Me miss you all!
So it was an impromptu decision, this visit to BBC. I just want to know how different BBC and RTB is, and what the hell, I already know the answer when I decided to go!
Left school in a coach at 10AM, arrived in front of BBC at 12PM, an hour too early in fact. Since the BBC building is just across from Westfield (humongous shopping centre, 20× bigger than The Mall), we pop over for a bit of window shopping. The 'we' in question is me and my dearest (distant) cousin Annabelle Leong.
So you can see the BBC logo behind her and it's prove I'm not lying. As we are distant cousins there are no resemblance at all, but I wish we do (her height her height her height!)
The BBC tour was very interesting, and I'm lazy to post up pictures as usual so stop hoping for them. As if I'm not using up a huge chunk of your bandwidth already!
Did you know that J.Lo was (and probably still is) a snob? Well, she was according to the guy at BBC anyway. The BBC building is shaped like a question mark (?) and they have this what-used-to-be-a-fountain-until-we-turned-off-the-water-because-the-sound-of-water-make-everyone-wants-to-go-to-the-bathroom thingy in the middle.
It was an experience I rate ten out of ten, compared to the visit to RTB (three out of ten, EPIC FAIL! The only good thing coming out of visiting RTB was full tummy.)

You are so NOT going to believe this but! But! BUT! I received another offer again! Yes, do a double take! Follow me!
I! Receive! Another! Offer!
Now, we celebrate! * SunSet Glow by BIGBANG plays in the background *
Anyway! The third offer today is from the University of Exeter, and they are offering me ABB. Don't be jealous people!
I'm gonna make Mrs Dunning's eyes pop out tomorrow with this news. She's my group tutor. It will (serve her right) for telling me the I-used-to-have-a-student-who-still-didn't-receive-even-one-offer-at-the-end-of-March sob story.
I'm off, people!

So I am getting increasingly desperate for an offer because I haven't heard from UCAS since Durham's offer last month. So desperate, in fact, I won't mind getting rejected as long as I have an email from UCAS sitting in my inbox!
I was just talking to Irene, one of my juniors, about this last night. I know I should be grateful for the offer from Durham, but there's this uncanny fear that I won't be able to meet Durham's already low offer of AAC (the prospectus mention AAB so I really should thank my lucky stars).
My morning today was full with lessons, C4 Maths first thing, then Chemistry (revising Module 2 because Dr Thrower insisted) and lastly A2 Human Geography. After a lunch of creamy pork stuff (it was OK) and talked with Aini and Erna for a bit, I decided I need to check my email and act more like the sad thing I am turning into.
(I have frees in the afternoon today – envy me!)
Started up my laptop, connected to internet, opened up Google Chrome...got a glimpse of The Email, then my laptop shut down by itself!
(a string of under-the-breath curses followed the laptop's nonchalant decision to shut itself down)
Reboot my laptop again, slightly worried about the clicking noise coming from it, reconnect to the internet, reopened Google Chrome...
THERE IT IS. THE EMAIL.
UCAS has finally emailed me, informing me of "a change in status" in my UCAS application. No time to be over the moon. Opened up the UCAS track page and, blood pounding in my ears, logged in. Got a prompt to enter my passport details. Filled in the form without hesitation and clicked on choices when I was done.
Oh my lucky stars.
Will you believe me if I tell you this? I received two conditional offers! Both from Leicester, which is cheating a bit, but still two offers! Woohoo!
Both ask for BBB and English Language Qualification.
Suddenly I am no longer depressed and I started singing a World Cup song from thousands of years ago: Celebrate the Day. It didn't matter I don't remember any of its lyrics apart from Celebrate the day, the day, the day~~~. I was overjoyed OK!
So now I have three offers. Another two to go, and hopefully I won't have long to wait for them!
Sing with me! Celebrate the day, the day, the day~~~

So I was just surfing happily and then I received an email. Its subject line sent me to hell, back again, and to hell once more.
Important: Changes to Blogger FTP Service
Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. Please don't tell me–
MY NIGHTMARE HAS CAME TRUE.
Read for yourself the damned email from Blogger.
Dear FTP user:
You are receiving this e-mail because one or more of your blogs at Blogger.com are set up to publish via FTP. We recently announced a planned shut-down of FTP support on Blogger Buzz (the official Blogger blog), and wanted to make sure you saw the announcement. We will be following up with more information via e-mail in the weeks ahead, and regularly updating a blog dedicated to this service shut-down here: http://blogger-ftp.blogspot.com/.
The full text of the announcement at Blogger Buzz follows.
Last May, we discussed a number of challenges facing Blogger users who relied on FTP to publish their blogs. FTP remains a significant drain on our ability to improve Blogger: only .5% of active blogs are published via FTP – yet the percentage of our engineering resources devoted to supporting FTP vastly exceeds that. On top of this, critical infrastructure that our FTP support relies on at Google will soon become unavailable, which would require that we completely rewrite the code that handles our FTP processing.
Three years ago we launched Custom Domains to give users the simplicity of Blogger, the scalability of Google hosting, and the flexibility of hosting your blog at your own URL. Last year's post discussed the advantages of custom domains over FTP and addressed a number of reasons users have continued to use FTP publishing. (If you're interested in reading more about Custom Domains, our Help Center has a good overview of how to use them on your blog.) In evaluating the investment needed to continue supporting FTP, we have decided that we could not justify diverting further engineering resources away from building new features for all users.
For that reason, we are announcing today that we will no longer support FTP publishing in Blogger after March 26, 2010. We realize that this will not necessarily be welcome news for some users, and we are committed to making the transition as seamless as possible. To that end:
- We are building a migration tool that will walk users through a migration from their current URL to a Blogger-managed URL (either a Custom Domain or a Blogspot URL) that will be available to all users the week of February 22. This tool will handle redirecting traffic from the old URL to the new URL, and will handle the vast majority of situations.
- We will be providing a dedicated blog and help documentation
- Blogger team members will also be available to answer questions on the forum, comments on the blog, and in a few scheduled conference calls once the tool is released
.
We have a number of big releases planned in 2010. While we recognize that this decision will frustrate some users, we look forward to showing you the many great things on the way. Thanks for using Blogger.
Regards,
Rick Klau

08.01.2010 - emptiness in my heart
TOPIC 01: LOOK ONLY AT ME, PART2
This song by G-Dragon is my new favourite. The lyrics are so heartbreakingly beautiful, I can't help but cry when I watch this video. I don't want G-Dragon to go to jail~ (wails)
I don't know, I lost faith in him sometimes. VIPs told me AllKPop is biased, full of haters, bla-bla, but am I that easily influenced? I want him back on scene. To stand tall and proud and declare to Korea, to the whole world, he has done nothing wrong.
But...I don't know. I really want to believe in him. I really want to be like one of those fearless DCGD members and stand by him. I'm so confused. So when I found this video on YouTube and watch it...I feel...ashamed. I don't even think ashamed is the right word to describe what I feel.
I'm OK now. I will stand by G-Dragon, even if he go to jail. Because, as another GDfan told me, support is all he needs.
TOPIC 02: BoA, YOU ARE JUST NOT MEANT TO BE
This is not trying to offend BoA or her fans, I mean, I am her fan also. It's not because I know G-Dragon is her fan, but I have listened to BoA since her debut, so I have literally been her fan from the very beginning.
As you will soon see in the picture below, the BoA MOTO poster, which also happens to be my favourite BoA poster, had unattached itself from the wall. This had happened too many times for me to count, and I am fed up with waking up in the middle of the night to put it back up after hearing a loud ripping sound.
Favourite poster or not, it's just not meant to be stuck on my wall. I'm taking it down today and rolling it up into one of my poster tubes.
TOPIC 03: YUI IN DETROIT METAL CITY?
When I first saw this thread on YUI-Lover Forum, my initial reaction was WHAT?!
Turns out I shouldn't have worried. (I was imagining YUI performing on the same stage with Krauser II...scary thought) Another YUI fanatic, michelle_upm, had been very observant to notice YUI's I Loved Yesterday promo poster in a scene from DMC the Movie.
DMC is not recommended for minors (i.e. below 18), as it has explicit content and death metal is not exactly the kind of music genre you want to expose children to.
Find out more on YUI-Lover Forum.
TOPIC 04: tYUIf IS ON THE SAME LIST AS BIGBANG & XIAXUE?
I know this is only one person (NANA, thank you!) but this means a lot to me, the one and only webmistress of The YUI Fanatic (or tYUIf in short).
I have been running this website/blog for over three years, and seeing it turning up first on the list on search engines, watching people from other countries visiting tYUIf for information is a very incredible feeling.
Maybe there are many others out there linking to me, I don't know, but still I want to say a big thank you to my visitors. Without you guys, tYUIf will not stand as tall as it is today. ^^

06.01.2010 - today is damn bitter-sweet
TOPIC 01: SNOW!!!
I woke up and went about my business without realising it has SNOWED until I went down for breakfast. I was wearing slippers. How how how suitable for walking in the snow. It was a miracle I didn't fall over at all.
Actually I want to say I am possibly the most stable person when it comes to walking in snow. Haha. More about this in a bit.
So when I got back from breakfast, it was still snowing. Bless the whatever factors that make this weather condition possible. I forgot what the factors are.
Of course, Pingu is the happiest at the snowing!
Pingu: You! Yes, you. Howcome you didn't tell me it's snowing outside one hah? I want you to take a picture of me at the window! Now!
So rude one ah this stuffed penguin? I had half a mind to open a window and throw it out. Not surprisingly, she demanded I told no one the above picture was taken at the window. She didn't even want to be let out into her native weather conditions. Such a hypocrite.
Some shots of how winterly my school suddenly looked:
After school Ann and I went to town. Our first stop was the Salisbury Cathedral. It was my idea OK. I thought the cathedral might look magical covered in snow or something, but was a bit disappointed. On the way to town:
Pictures of the cathedral on a snow day's glory:
TOPIC 02: G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL
Help me. AllKPop had confirmed my worst worst WORST fear. My hubbie is possibly going to JAIL for doing something tons of singers had done before.
I suddenly hold a grudge against J.Y. Park. Forget he was Rain's producer and Rain has a lot of respect for him bla-bla-bla. J.Y. Park did NOT go to jail for what he did, which was similar to what my hubbie did. SO TO HELL ALL HATERS, G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL.
TOPIC 03: YUI'S ⌈Muffler⌋ IS A GREAT 'CONCENTRATION MUSIC'
YUI is a goddess. Her new single ⌈GLORIA⌋, due out this coming 20th, is packed full of everything inspirational. If GLORIA is motivating, Muffler is concentrating.
Unlike what most YUILovers suspect at first, Muffler does not sound sad but instead sound calming. Great as background music for studying and driving (as another YUILover stated).
If you haven't listen to Muffler yet, fret not. The song playing when you arrived on this page is - yes - none other than Muffler. I love this song to bits. You might also want to check out this post for the lyrics and the download links.
TOPIC 04: GET A CHANCE TO WIN ⌈GLORIA⌋ MUGS...
...when you buy the first-press limited edition of ⌈GLORIA⌋.
These ⌈GLORIA⌋ mugs are adorable and unveiled on the YUI Staff Diary today. Even though I am famous for openly hating the oh-so-girly-I-am-blinded PINK colour (plus it clashes with my new layout), it looks great on the ⌈GLORIA⌋ mug!

I want the blue one! ^^ More details about the ⌈GLORIA⌋ mugs and how to win them on YUI-Lover.
TOPIC 05: G-DRAGON SHINE A LIGHT CONCERT MERCS
I totally recommend buying from either Korean eBay seller smile-spoon or DVDheaven. Here are the links to smile-spoon's eBay shop and DVDheaven so what are you G-Dragon fangirls waiting for?
When mine arrived (yes I've already preorder them) I will wear the I ♥ GD badge all the time to show my support for hubbie. And on a last note...
...G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL (TOPIC 06)
He is totally NOT going to jail. If he really is going to jail then I am going to set up an anti-JYP club. Even though I love Wonder Girls. I am serious.
