the eye of the storm

 @ Wednesday, 29 October 2008

I recommend a visit to Yeet Yang's blog. His latest posts are really cool. Yeet Yang, please don't forget to say thank you. Hahaha. *evil*

Some really cool news - I am staying at Brunei Hall for my half term and guess what? It snowed last night! Seriously! No mirage! It really was snowing! Ask Saidi if you don't believe me! I know I don't have any pictures to prove it really did snow, but I bet you Saidi will had taken some, him being so easy to please and all.

Last night's snow was like a dream. This morning all traces of it was gone - melted and evaporated in the warm rays of the sun. It was magical yet infuriating.

Meanwhile, I am struggling with my prep and revision for the upcoming Human Geography Test. Can you believe how hard it is to study at Brunei Hall? I didn't notice it before but it's so damn noisy here (even after the loudest volume on my mobile phone - and I'm wearing earphones!!) I can still here them! OMG!! So I resort to studying in the afternoon, when almost everyone is out and there are no people in the dining hall.

Today while doing my prep I was stuck at a question which costs 23 marks. I thought I had seen it wrong because it was a Chemistry prep, not a godforsaken Geography prep. But, no. There it was, bright and clear. 23 marks. For a question.

AQA, you are one helluva evil exam board.

another confession

 @ Monday, 27 October 2008

It's nothing to get excited over, mates. (A particular friend: Yeah right. Just so you know, this girl get confessions once in a blue moon, although she's, er, popular. *sarcastic* So it's no use telling us not to get excited. Because we oughta be.)

Anyways, the confession in question is...*drumroll*...the Monky Wonky Kawachi Koala's. Haha. Have fun figuring out who that is, guys! *wink* And I'm going to sit here and see what happens next.

my Autumn Half Term Interim Report

 @ Friday, 24 October 2008

Chemistry - A9
Further Mathematics (C1) - A9
Further Mathematics (C2) - A9
Further Mathematics (M1) - B8
Geography (Physical) - C8
Geography (Human) - C7

The said person's comments: Oh my god. Now that's kinda unexpected. My Chemistry tutor, Mr Brown, well rumours said he gave everyone an A9. As for Further Mathematics, I didn't expect A9s either. Just so you know, M1 is mechanics and I absolutely sucks at them. As for Geography, please understand that I am working on it. I will score better for Geography next time. I will.

Yeahhh!!

 @ Thursday, 9 October 2008

I recommend a visit to Fahme's blog. At first I thought it will be full of nothing but cool pictures of himself (no offence here, Fahme...) but then I started to read the posts and surprise surprise, they are actually quite cool!

Since I'm even making an effort to blog and not posting random stuff, I will tell you about my day.

Today I woke up late. Usually I'm up at 7am, but today I was so sleepy I decided to sleep in - and so when I woke up it was already 8am. No breakfast for me. Huhu. I got dressed and checked my Prep Book (i.e. Homework Book) for missing prep. None. Cool.

My first class today is C1 Maths. But before that we had a morning prayer in celebration of World Poetry Day! The juniors recited several funny poems and it was all very jolly. After prayers, the C1 Maths class is quite relaxing - we went to the Computer Room and draw graphs using the computer.

Aren't they nice? Haha. After C1 Maths I had two free periods, which I spent reading up my textbooks. We then did Coordinate Geometry for C2 Maths. Not hard. After lunch I chatted for a while.

Haha, this is only a sample. Soon after that, I rushed to my Physical Geography class. I got a B for my prep! Yeah! *malasku gambarkan* Then during Chemistry we watched a video about the discovery of buckyball (Carbon-60). It was really cool.

Then classes were officially over, and the activities took over. I joined this Creative Writing Club and today I brought one of my fanfics for them to read. You can read it by clicking here. They found it very nice. Yeah!

I then went to town to get some money and bought myself a folder. Well, that's all about my day. Now for some random stuff.

Since today is World Poetry Day I thought I'll post this poem by a certain mangaka from Malaysia.

The Fishes
by Ben (Benny Wong)

Water flows through river
As it flows through my eyes
They say a Pisces dreamer
Has lived other lives

There's something more there
I can see it clear
Not something you hold in your hand
The end of the circle
It ends with me in eternity

The poet and the dreamer
Creating Pisces flow
There is a world we possess
That all of you can't know

There's something more there
I can see it clear
Not something you hold in your hand
The end of the circle
It ended with me in eternity

Beyond just what you see lies darkness
My life changes with everything around me
Sometimes I need to get the hell out of here

If you are a soul in need
If you need compassion
I will stand up like a wall right by your side
I can tell what others can't tell
Yes, I can read your mind

Pisces belongs in another world at another time
Neptune rule my hours
Devoted by your side
The heart of Pisces soul lives through time
Through time

This is the colour of my heart

 @ Tuesday, 7 October 2008

Colors of the Heart
UVERworld
Blood+ OPENING

If you turn on the lights…

Colors※

It’s all your fate. You gonna do that.
Colors

Breath

Just drawing… Colors in light and darkness
And take it… Colors in light and darkness

[ENGLISH]
On that day,
My heart crumbled in silence
Even though I scream at being broken,
Inerasable memories and
Darkness flow into my eyes
And I sink into tomorrow
Whose colors can’t even be seen anymore

I searched endlessly for the day of reconciliation
Only for the sake of losing it
I will live for the present

Even when it is useless and I embrace solitude alone
If you turn on the lights (If you turn on the lights)
I will shine towards them

“Feelings continuously filled with wishes will someday create colors”
that’s what I’ve been taught
To be a person who continues to live with this in the heart
Because COLORS are born within anything and everything inevitable
I will paint tomorrow once more with these hands

Before I knew it, I became used to the things I've lost
Even the things which were placed into my hands slipped through my fingers

Before my tears dry up, the words which I wanted to hear
Are now for the sake of saving someone
(Its on your fate, you gonna do that!)

“If light becomes stronger, darkness will also become deeper”
Even if I realized that, I have nothing to fear
Because COLORS are born at the end of just about any kind of heart
My eyes are already open because we were gazing at each other

The BREATH of sadness, I was searching for that to stain it in colors
Without raising a sound
“Feelings continuously filled with wishes will someday create colors”
that’s what I’ve been taught
To be a person who continues to live by this in the heart
Because COLORS are born within anything and everything inevitable
They will illuminate once more with the fingertips of light

JUST DRAWING... (JUST DRAWING...) COLORS IN LIGHT AND DARKNESS
AND TAKE IT... (AND TAKE IT...) COLORS IN LIGHT AND DARKNESS

Now, the gentle colors which could not be reached
With these hands, I will use them to paint and fix everything again

I miss you guys!!

 @ Sunday, 5 October 2008

Yesterday afternoon I received a very apologitic message from Farhan the joke. He apologized for a verrrrrrrrry late reply (hmph!) and gave me a 90 degrees bow, so I forgave him. Actually I was quite amused by the bow.

Anyways, to you guys who thinks I'm a cold, heartless friend who don't contact anymore, you are sooooo WRONG!! I miss you guys like crazy. Shen with her many crush(es). Qays and Farhan with their weird humour. Daya and Zimah with their hyper-ness! Ainal with her obsession over DGray Man (or is it something else now?). Khy with her amazing patience. Yamin with his 'arrogance'. Adie and his tendency to get stressed easily. Zudin for his 'dumbness'. Ismah and Inarah with their sort-of mafia-ness (this is NOT an insult!!). Ivy for her patience. Yu Heng for his 'dumbness' (another hopeless case here~). Solon Chong for making me angry! And you've gone and make others angry too, flynig off to Canada without telling anyone. I KNOW you'd been plotting this for months. I KNOW.

Some pics to show you guys just HOW I miss you!
